I see 2 more of WSJV's channels have changed. 28.5 is now The Nest (it was 28.7) and 28.7 is Rewind TV. I didn't notice these channel changes before this morning but I suspect they happened at the same time that 28.2 became Comet TV.

WSJV 28.2 changed
I just discovered that WSJV 28.2 is no longer True Crime. This channel is now broadcasting Comet. It's about time this channel came to my local market.

Re: T2, PBTV, GMLOOP, and ROXi Internet Channels
If they don't make the same mistakes the company behind HDRadio, ATSC 3 radio might have a fighting chance. Expensive licensing I believe is what hindered HDRadio more than anything else.
New technology is nice and all, but the primary purpose of new standards is to generate new licensing ...

Re: T2, PBTV, GMLOOP, and ROXi Internet Channels
It would still require widespread availability of ATSC 3.0 tuners in cars (or phones), and that hasn't even happened in TVs yet.

Re: T2, PBTV, GMLOOP, and ROXi Internet Channels
Sinclair did some trials with music channels on several of their stations. If carried on a low-complexity PLP, these could theoretically be received by a portable receiver in a car.
I'm surprised that the company behind HDRadio didn't have a fit over this. (Or at least not that I'm aware of.) I ...

Re: Silicondust is now an ATSC3 Certificate Authority
The way I understand it, this is a verification process so things like the Max Headroom incident can't happen again. This is a preventative measure so if hackers hijack the broadcasters signal, their signal just won't be receivable because the hacker wouldn't have the certificate the HDHR would need ...

No. Nothing changed but the address apparently other than it stopped working. But the IP you just gave me works. Thanks Nick!nickk wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 7:34 am The local IP of your HDHomeRun is currently 192.168.7.189
Are you running VLANs with multiple subnets?

How to connect locally - Phoenixfury
http://hdhomerun.local/
http://hdhomerun.local/ doesn't work for me neither does the address 192.168.5.149 which previously worked and is what I have book marked. I just get the message "this site is unreachable.

I've been following this saga from the start and watch Lon's videos all the time. If the FCC sides with a handful of billionaires vs. the millions of us who want access to unencrypted broadcasts, I know which path I'll be taking ...

Sounds like racketeering to me.
Pay up competitor because it would be a shame if you're suddenly unable to broadcast. Would be a terrible if no one could see your channel!
How can this possibly be legal?

Re: Encryption
I've read much hand-wringing about DRM causing concern during emergency situations. But I cannot fathom the issue. If there is an emergency the broadcasters can always turn DRM off. Pure ATSC 3.0, no certificates, no internet required. Then they turn DRM back on after the emergency is over.
If ...

as for the you-tube video by lon seidman saying to avoid the hdhomerun i say don't avoid the hdhomerun because doing so only eggs on this non-sense.
I've never disagreed with Lon on anything until he said that. I have 2 big reasons.
