Re: New channel
Gracenote created an entry for WHASDT5 in their database today with a stationId of 118841 As for Phoenix, Twist is on 12.6, and they created an entry for KPNXDT6 with a stationId of 118820 Usually it takes Gracenote a few weeks between the time new stationId entries are created and when they start a...

Re: HDHomeRun / Google Live Channels / Firestick
It won't even load on my LG Android Phone "not certified for use on this device". That's because the Live Channels app is designed for TV (LEANBACK_LAUNCHER) platforms only, so it doesn't have a LAUNCHER intent for phones or tablets. The issue with Fire might be that Live Channels relies on some ad...

From what I saw in the release notes, unfortunately those rules are still in place. The main "new" thing for developers is finally giving them the ability to offer instant resume.

When you say "All Monitors", are you referring to multiple computers, or a single computer with multiple monitors? If it's multiple monitors on one computer, that might block DRM channels if they have certain levels of protection flagged. Also, check to make sure your installation meets the other re...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Phoenix - Jan 2021
Basically, the issue is that KAET's presence on KFPH-CD's lighthouse was part of an experimental STA that expired back in April 2020, and they never made the required Next Gen filing with the FCC when KFPH's ATSC 3.0 operation became officially licensed in March 2020 instead of experimental. So the ...

Re: Buffering making watching impossible.
What's your network setup like? The HDHomeRun has higher network bandwidth requirements than most streaming apps, so things like weak wifi signals or power saving/QoS/"fairness" settings that lower the transfer speed for what the router assumes isn't high priority traffic can cause these types of is...

Re: Newbie question
Check to see if there's another entry for FS2 lower in your lineup. The new 1000s range where channels are grouped by genre usually only map to the HD feeds, and FS2's HD feed might be IP only in your area, while the SD feed is still available as a QAM channel in the 3 digit range. Any chance you co...

Re: Newbie question
Comcast's history with FS2 is really weird, like unless you were in an area that previously carried FuelTV prior to Comcast aquiring your system, most Comcast systems didn't have FS2 at all until after 2018 while the HD feed wasn't added to many of those systems until 2020. So it's possible it was n...

Re: Pixelatiop and Audio issues after Feb 2020 firmware
I wish HDHomeRun will fix the codec problem. In most cases the HDHomeRun app uses the codecs provided by your OS or device, so it would help if you would say what specific devices you are using the app on, and if it's on a computer, what graphics card you have. The OP mentioned Nvidia, most NVidia ...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime compatible with new Cox upgrades?
Here's the problem you might run into. In most other cities the test channel wasn't DRM protected, giving people the false impression that they are good to go, but when the switch happened they implemented DRM protection on most of the channels, breaking compatibility with 3rd party viewing software...

Re: Newbie question
If it's like what Xfinity has been doing with new additions in other cities, those new channels are likely delivered over IP for their X1 boxes, so they are not available on QAM tuners like the Prime or Ceton.

Re: Missing guide data in Finland (Nelonen, Liv, Jim and Hero)
Unfortunately the problem is on Gracenote's end of things, so other services who use their data like Schedules Direct have the same "Julkaistaan pian" issue for these channels. From the list you gave, all the affected channels are owned by Nelonen Media/Sanoma, so you might want to try contacting th...

Re: Video stops regularly
Yeah the problem is Roku's built in decoder can't handle any imperfections, which is something that happens with most OTA signals, especially on windy days or if you are in marginal reception area where the signal is just above the threshold to decode. On actual TVs error correction would kick in an...

Or better yet, just use physical.pid numbering so they have the same numbering that most ClearQAM TVs use for unmapped channels: like 39.3, 74.65534, 88.20, etc

That's because WIAV-CD is a Class A license, so they have additional local programming/public affairs requirements, which they meet by airing a rebroadcast of the news from their sister station WJLA.twobucktoll wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 9:03 ambut there is a time on weeknights where the WJLA local news is rebroadcast
