I tried both, but it actually lowered my signal levels. FM by itself did the best(for 12.1), but still not getting 2.1-2.5
Do I need a better Antenna now or what else can we look into?

But my luck it will be DRM like the rest loljasonl wrote: Tue Jun 10, 2025 5:16 pm At the moment, probably nothing. The tower is in the wrong direction. Rotating your antenna to point the correct way would help with 2.x, but then you'd almost certainly lose a significant portion of everything else. The good news is they have a permit from the FCC to rearrange how they broadcast, including adding another transmitter on the same tower where the 102.1/104.1/129.1/135.1 ATSC 3.0 channels broadcast from, on a hill NE of Medina Lake. This will put much more signal into your area and hopefully be enough that you can receive it without changing anything antenna-wise. Their latest update indicated they plan to be on-air by September 30.
I have a second antenna to pick up these channels as they are off azimuth from my primary antenna. Looks like I'll be moving my antenna this fall to retain the channels.jasonl wrote: Tue Jun 10, 2025 5:16 pm At the moment, probably nothing. The tower is in the wrong direction. No DRM, it will still be 1.0.Fin74501 wrote: Wed Jun 11, 2025 1:50 pm But my luck it will be DRM like the rest lol
I am still having rain fade on 12.1, happened last night. Did some testing and it was only happening with channels in that same Transmitter(9.1,9.2, 12.1 etc) 5.1 and 4.1 were perfect. Should I get a different antenna to help with that?
https://www.rabbitears.info/contour.php ... 8971d91d8d is the big picture map. The ones in Austin and the SW side of San Antonio exist now on 8, although the San Antonio one has a slightly different antenna pattern. The other 4 will be new, replacing the current RF 5 broadcast that most people can't receive. You probably won't need to change your antenna position unless one of the new sites will be better.Tom1272 wrote: Wed Jun 11, 2025 3:11 pm I have a second antenna to pick up these channels as they are off azimuth from my primary antenna.
