Hmmmm I guess if there was a bug in the Shield I would expect the problem to be more wide spread across the channels. The problem is.so evident on 12.1 and so absent on every other channel. Ah, you might be hitting a known bug in the Nvidia Shield MPEG2 decoder. It is a tricky one because we can't detect the problem occurring.

It is likely mythtv will record out of the box if you enable the "quick tune" feature in the Mythtv HDHomeRun source configuration - this tunes by virtual channel number. Hopefully it will create a recording - next try using VLC to play the recording it made... VLC won't have video but will prove my...
