If your LG television can run the HDHomeRun app try that as a test.
On the Apple TV try forcing HDR.
With HEVC the video decode and HDR is handled by the hardware rather than the HDHomeRun app.

Re: Connected SSD for DVR
That will work.
If the drive is blank the HDHomeRun will format it. If not black go to http://hdhomerun.local/ and click the format button.
The HDHomeRun uses XFS as the filesystem.

Re: Why can't Upcoming show all recordings?
Computing the entire recording schedule out 2 weeks is computationally expensive.
I ran a test on my own account (cable + antenna) just now - it took between 998ms and 1010ms which is outside our response time target for single requests.
My account has a lot of recording rules but is not the most.

Re: Roku HDHomeRun app v 94.0 build 20240809
Also, I noticed that if I am watching the last channel (for some amount of time, longer than a few hours) on my channel list and I hit the down arrow it will exit immediately to the Roku home screen. If I go back into the HDHomerun app it will show a Brightstack error Can you please take pictures o...

Re: Unable to play channel iPad
Unfortunately some ATSC 3.0 channels are applying A3SA+Widevine DRM encryption that is incompatible with Apple products. Normal ATSC 3.0 channels work well on Apple platforms including the Mac M1 and iPad which are NextGen TV certified when used with the HDHomeRun hardware + app. Stations turning on...

Re: Unable to find tuner
Can you please restart the app - if it picks up the UI update it should give you a better error message.

Re: DRM Channels Not Working on Android Devices
We pay DTLA a significant amount of money each year for DRM - that is an ongoing cost we adsorb and is not the Android issue here.
We have confirmed an issue with Android devices reactivating due to a Google dropping support for an API used to activate.

Re: channel navigation
Ok, I did find that log a bit ago and do see some dns failures in it so I'll work on that. But we may be getting off in the weeds? My original beef was not having a method to navigate channels. The app shouldn't be working at all - you should be seeing an error message with the option to retry or e...
