When you turned the DVR back on on the MeCool box, did you turn off the PC DVR before testing? If not, it may still be using the PC DVR instead of the MeCool.

The compression on my Spectrum cable system is SO bad that I've begun to stream (Fox Sports app, Peacock app, Paramount+ app, ESPN app, etc.) all sporting events that I can.

You can't go wrong with the Onn 4K Android TV box for $20 at Walmart. Works great for me.
