Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

Yeah, the bugs that result from running a long time are sometimes the hardest to catch. I'll try leaving running for a long time today and maybe overnight, and see what I can find. edit: Just to make sure, when you go into the episode view from Discover, you're hitting the button labeled Watch Now,...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

When it's doing it, it never takes me to recorded when I press esc. It goes straight into that stale show info routine. I also nearly never press esc immediately after starting to watch live tv. I have no idea where to go from here. Although one factor that might somehow be involved is we let the ap...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

Ok. I've got a repro both last night and this afternoon. Both are done using the keyboard. Last evening included the full list. Pressing esc got me back to the stable show screen with the episode list from when I passed watch. Pressing discover presented the stale discover time slot. Today I watched...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

One difference in how you tried to repro it and what I was doing is that we don't usually press record in that situation. we do Discover, show, watch, while in live TV hit exit (ESC) and it goes to the show screen instead of Discover (and if we waited long enough, the show screen and discover have s...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

It's still happening on a regular (many times a day) basis even on the latest early beta. Anyone else seeing this? It's pretty damn aggravating. How to re-create: Open discover Select a show select 'watch' Watch the show for any period of time from a few moments up to hours (as if you decided not to...

Re: change of current focus: Discover when moving to the 'next' timeslot

I honestly can't say that I've had the desire or the need to jump forward lots of time slots just to see what is on during that timeslot. I may be an edge case, but the ability to do so doesn't seem as important as not having to jump forward lots of timeslots by accident. If I need to find a show f...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing guide in live TV

Not sure that it matters, but it did it again, but with a new twist. Sending diagnostics enabled, and this happened at 6:59 pm pacific time today. BTW, it reported I was still on 911b. I restarted the app after this happened and am now on 918c. Shortly after changing channels, about 3 to 5 minutes,...

Re: change of current focus: Discover when moving to the 'next' timeslot

But as it seems that the feature design has been met, it's something the user must work with. Out of curiosity, are you using a pretty laggy remote? I have that experience, but it's almost always when dealing with excessive lag. I'm using a Logitech Harmony. it's pretty responsive, but it also queu...

Re: change of current focus: Discover when moving to the 'next' timeslot

ah. I get it. the design intent is clear. It is pretty darn rapid. Too rapid if you ask me. but then what I'm doing is usually predicated on me being on let's say the 1st show tile (counting from the left) and then pressing right arrow 4 times instead of the 3 times I intended, now I'm all the way o...

Re: W10 channel entry not working on 20190814

Slice open channel changes don't work with early access on or off. A bit more background on unstable channel change navigation. It looks like it only occurs on the first channel change (navigating to a high channel, perhaps before the slice has data/icons for the channel loaded). mine worked in the...

Re: change of current focus: Discover when moving to the 'next' timeslot

This is definitely intentional. Searching through discover is intended to feel as fast as searching through Slice, which means you should be able to jump forward and back really quickly. Are you you finding yourself overshooting? I end up overshooting (aka going forward more than just one half hour...

change of current focus: Discover when moving to the 'next' timeslot

Re: Video Freeze / black screen and Wrong show title displayed on banner at bottom of screen

I don't use the slice guide either. I just use it to change channels by scrolling up/down (my remote doesn't have number keys). I keep the TitanTV guide open in a browser to find a channel/program I want to watch. I haven't tried that combo - In my house, I'd rather not introduce another tool to ha...

Re: Video Freeze / black screen and Wrong show title displayed on banner at bottom of screen

When I'm seeing it, I get it multiple times in an hour - very irritating. then it may go a couple days without repeating. very odd. ..and just because this software seems to want to be painful, the problem I was having with it showing stale discover and show screen data when pressing exit from live...

Re: W10 channel entry not working on 20190814

What is the current early access version? I'm away from home right now, so don't quote me, but I think (at least as of last evening) it ended in 919f or 918f. It doesn't always change if SD doesn't feel changes being introduced are significant enough to warrant it. Funny thing is, number key presse...
