wierd problem last night - playback of football recording hanging frequently

I've never had any serious issues with playback of recordings, but last night was unbelievable. Windows 10 PC, Early access enabled, uploading of logs enabled. Record engine running on two windows server 2016 systems. Same configuration (other than windows updates and SD updates) as I've been runnin...

Re: Conflicting Statements... Which is it?

One has to question whether these products are even in development. It's easy and cheap to overhang the market by announcing products you have no intention of of developing. I have two Prime, a Quad and a Duel. They work well with Plex. But not being able to give the truthful status on products ann...

Re: FF/Play/Rew Volume window covering up new Time/Show Name when pressing pause/play

I think this is what he is talking about. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmC2D9qWVVZHiFaQgZlcvBGTw-Ti In order to get this to pop up on my laptop, I had to change the volume using the keyboard media volume keys. That is exactly it. Thanks for posting that. Jason - I haven't figured out how to successfully ins...

FF/Play/Rew Volume window covering up new Time/Show Name when pressing pause/play

I finally figured out what is causing a problem I've seen since the new 'modern' bits went into place. The offending window is the old window that shows the Volume levels, the buttons for FF/Play (or Pause)/Rew and the HD logo. On a single screen system, it appears near the top left of the screen, d...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

It's very unlikely that a re-install would do anything. Cache is actually the biggest issue for that stuff, we make sure the cache clears fairly regularly for everyone. Let me know if your other PCs can replicate. I've tested another PC in the place of our primary one. It often takes a good amount ...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

I finally had the chance to check another machine. Apologies for taking so long to do it. One system wouldn't repro the issue within a few minutes, didn't have time to do a longer test that more accurately tracks how we normally use it and see the issue. I took the other system and replaced my prima...

Re: New Feature: Modernized Live TV and Playback controls Plus sped up Slice guide for mobile

I like the new look. A lot. Couple of thoughts : the size of the upper left text seems way too big. Should be only a couple points larger than the new text on the bottom. Second, if you're going to show the current time in the bottom of the screen on the progress bar, do we actually need to duplicat...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

Yeah, the bugs that result from running a long time are sometimes the hardest to catch. I'll try leaving running for a long time today and maybe overnight, and see what I can find. edit: Just to make sure, when you go into the episode view from Discover, you're hitting the button labeled Watch Now,...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

When it's doing it, it never takes me to recorded when I press esc. It goes straight into that stale show info routine. I also nearly never press esc immediately after starting to watch live tv. I have no idea where to go from here. Although one factor that might somehow be involved is we let the ap...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

Ok. I've got a repro both last night and this afternoon. Both are done using the keyboard. Last evening included the full list. Pressing esc got me back to the stable show screen with the episode list from when I passed watch. Pressing discover presented the stale discover time slot. Today I watched...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

One difference in how you tried to repro it and what I was doing is that we don't usually press record in that situation. we do Discover, show, watch, while in live TV hit exit (ESC) and it goes to the show screen instead of Discover (and if we waited long enough, the show screen and discover have s...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing exit to bring up Discover in live TV

It's still happening on a regular (many times a day) basis even on the latest early beta. Anyone else seeing this? It's pretty damn aggravating. How to re-create: Open discover Select a show select 'watch' Watch the show for any period of time from a few moments up to hours (as if you decided not to...

Re: change of current focus: Discover when moving to the 'next' timeslot

I honestly can't say that I've had the desire or the need to jump forward lots of time slots just to see what is on during that timeslot. I may be an edge case, but the ability to do so doesn't seem as important as not having to jump forward lots of timeslots by accident. If I need to find a show f...

Re: Stale guide data presented when pressing guide in live TV

Not sure that it matters, but it did it again, but with a new twist. Sending diagnostics enabled, and this happened at 6:59 pm pacific time today. BTW, it reported I was still on 911b. I restarted the app after this happened and am now on 918c. Shortly after changing channels, about 3 to 5 minutes,...

Re: change of current focus: Discover when moving to the 'next' timeslot

But as it seems that the feature design has been met, it's something the user must work with. Out of curiosity, are you using a pretty laggy remote? I have that experience, but it's almost always when dealing with excessive lag. I'm using a Logitech Harmony. it's pretty responsive, but it also queu...
