Anyone else seeing this issue - DVR not found and android / fire tv black screen when tuning live channels

Is anyone else seeing thia behavior? It Started for me this afternoon (thu 10/15).

After normal behavior at HD Homerun.

DVR not found displayed on recorded screen. Moved this to another server. Problem stays with first server even after removing and reinstalling the HDHomerun dvr.

Select any live tv channel from discover screen and get black screen for a few.seconds, then the 'audio only' prompt appears and a few.seconds later it drops out of Live tv and is back in the discover screen listing for the show I attempted.to watch - android and fire tv. Oddity is.that Windows and a Fire Tv (Fire stick built into the TV) versions work properly

The windows pc and one of the firesticks are hardwired, one is wifi with a strong signal.

There's been no changes to my hardware or network beyond replacing my router 2 days before this started (no issues until today). Everything has been rebooted and ibe gone.through every devices settings and cant find a cause.

The DVR software runs on a windows server
All software (windows server, windows 11, android, fire tv and firesticks are running the latest updates and all have send diagnostics turned on.

All else works properly (network connectivity, wifi, streaming, etc.).

I doubt that the problem is the new router since the problem occured well after.it was installed (and HD Homerun worked properly for two days after the new router), but I'm going to put it back in as a test just ro make sure

Well, even though the problem didn't occur for two days after the router replacement, swapping back to the old device solved the unable to watch live tv issue.

I changed none of the default router settings other than device name and setup the wifi.the new router is a netgear nighthawk rs600 (aka BE18000 WIFI 7). The old router is a tp-link AX8000 wifi 6).

Is there an ip port or something that the netgear router's security software suddenly decided to block that could have caused this?

Audio only typically means it really is audio only (e.g. some broadcasters and cable providers will carry local radio stations that are just audio with no corresponding video track), the video decoder on the playback device is in a problem state, or the network throughput is so low it's not getting enough data to identify the video stream. Most likely the latter based on your description of the issue. Usually see that on PCs where they're running some screwy web filtering software that is trying to scan the incoming data and doing a bad job of it, not really something that would commonly be seen on Android/Fire TV though.
