When are you going to fix guide & timezone?. I have already missed DVR recordings due to messed up guide. I know this isn't totally on your end. I use Amazon firesticks that also don't recognise the correct time. Am I going to have to live with everything being 1 hr off?
Alberta time = permanent mdst or GMT - 6

PS I am not only location that is no longer doing the clock shuffle.

Re: New Alberta Timezone
Since Alberta and some of the other provinces decided to do this with less than 6 months notice, not all viewing devices got a firmware or OS update in time, and some older devices might not get any update at all from their manufacturer, even if they are less than 4 years old.
Check the timezone settings on all of your devices. If it got the timezone database update, you might have to switch it to a new Alberta specific timezone that is always UTC -6 instead of Mountain. If it didn't get the timezone update you need to change it to be Central with the observes DST option off, instead of Mountain with DST.
i.e. On some of my older Android devices the only option would be to turn off the "automatic time zone" and "set time zone based by location" options and set the timezone manually by UTC offset, since the built in timezone listing is grouped by city with the observes DST switch flag still baked in for Alberta. On some newer Android devices I had to force an update by clicking on "Google Play system update" in Settings -> About Phone > Software Information before it installed the September 2026 update with the new timezone data.

Re: New Alberta Timezone
The times displayed in the HDHomeRun app are based on the time and timezone set on the device the app is running on. If the device has not received a timezone update, using a different timezone may be required. Here are some options that correspond to the correct times and do not change for DST:
BC: Mountain Time (Arizona/Phoenix)
AB: Central Time (Mexico City)
MB/western ON: Eastern Time (Cancun)
The HDHomeRun and DVR operate in UTC and do not care about petty human things like timezones. If the device's time and timezone are set correctly and the guide listings are wrong on one or more channels, then we need the device ID for the HDHomeRun and the specifics so we can open a case with our guide provider.
