I have a windows 11pro HTPC used with HDHR Flex 4k. I am considering an ATMOS 5.1.4 AVR with eARC HDMI 2.1. My PC has Display Port 1.4. I think this equals HDMI 2.0b, not sure?
I am assuming I am getting ATSC 3.0/AC4 5.1 to my AVR using Media Player Classic-HC with K-Lite codec pack ( which included AC4)
I am considering the purchase of a new AVR that has Atmos 5.1.4 which has eARC HDMI 2.1. My question is will I require a new Video card for the PC that has HDMI 2.1 to match up with the Atmos AVR to have the 10ch Atmos pass though to the AVR?
I know my current ATSC 3.0 broadcast is only 5.1 at the present time, but someday it may upgrade to Atmos.
