EPG data file in .xmltv format

Post by geriakt »

Can the SliconDust EPG data for free two day and subscription 14 day be ported using Http in a .xmltx file? I want to use the data for a third party video player that requires.xlmtv file format.
Per the SiliconDust GitHub for XMLTV instructions I don't fully comprehend, I have tried tried setting up epgs in JellyFin and my third-party player using:
https://api.hdhomerun.com/api/xmltv
And
https://api.hdhomerun.com/api/xmltv?DeviceAuth=10AB0###
And
https://api.hdhomerun.com/api/xmltv?Ema ... eIDs=10AB0###
None work for me.

However I did install HDHomerun Guide v0.3.2.0 and I was able to get the 2day guide to activate with in the plug-in without the need to set up an xlmtv EPG using https://api.hdhomerun.com/api/xmltv?DeviceAuth=10AB0###

That is the Device ID, not the DeviceAuth.

You can get the DeviceAuth from http://hdhomerun.local/discover.json or http://10AB0.../discover.json

The DeviceAuth is good for 24 hours.
Using your email currently only works if you have (or had) a DVR subscription as don't normally ask for you email address otherwise.

Also be sure that whatever you are using to download indicates it supports gzip compression. The server will reject the request if gzip compression isn't supported by the client.

Thank you Nick for replying on your Sunday. Yes I assumed DeviceAuth was the Device ID. I will try again. With regard to the email string, yes I am currently a 2 day EPG user so I do not have my Flex 4k set up with the 14 day subscription. I currently have a subscription to Schedules Direct through Dec 2026. I am testing and trying now because once my Schedules Direct subscription is up I plan to get the DVR/EPG subscription directly from SiliconDust as I think your data and customer support is excellent.
