Hello all!
I tried calling and texting support but no answer and they are closed now. I had Xfinity out today to swap out my modem and router to a new modem/router combo provided by Xfinity. They didn't mess with Cable TV. After getting the internet back up and running, my Prime no longer sees any channels. I opened up the HDHomeRun Setup app and performed a channel scan. It found over 500 channels. But when launching the app to watch, it finds 2 devices, I'm assuming the tuner and the DVR. I'm assuming, and that is always a bad thing, that this tuner didn't lose its pairing since it can actually scan channels, but I might be completely wrong.
The new router did create a new VLAN, which required me to power cycle the Prime to get a new IP in the new subnet. I was at a 192.168.1.0/24 network and this new network is a 10.0.0.0/24. I'm guess it is a /24, I'm not a network guy, but the DHCP subnet mask is showing 255.255.255.0 with a gateway of 10.0.0.1. This is the info from the computer I am on that I use the app on to get live tv.
In the HDHomeRun Config GUI, it see's the Prime and the 3 tuners. I did a rescan in this interface. Still no channels in the app. The app is showing unable to play channel: no video data. Under Guide, it takes a few minutes to load, but it eventually does show the guide data.
Any assistance would be appreciated. If not, then I need to put the old network back into place. I am leaving for the weekend and don't want to leave the wife with no TV while I am gone.
Upgraded internet now Prime doesn't get channels
Re: Upgraded internet now Prime doesn't get channels
We would like to get some diagnostic data:
- Please go to http://hdhomerun.local
- Click System Status
- Check the Send diagnostic information box
- Go back one page
- Click Channel Lineup
- Click on Detect Channels
Re: Upgraded internet now Prime doesn't get channels
Sorry for the late response. I just reran all new network cables after installing new switches and the HDHomeRun is back online. There must have been a loose connection, which could explain why somethings worked and others didn't. Thanks!!!
