hello all, new user here. i have HDHR Flex 4K with firmware dated 20231214 . For some reason channel 62 and subchannels are not appearing. I am able to get all major networks CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX along with many other stations. 57 channels in total.
here is my rabbit ears report.

On my 2011 Panasonic TCP65VT30, I am able to get 62.1 video. Due to the subchannels 62.2 and 62.3 broadcasting in MPEG4, I only get audio on these sub channels when using the Panny ATSC tuner. The Panny tuner can only decode ATSC 1.0 MPEG2 video.
On the HDHR, what are some things I could try to get 62.2. and 62.3 ? Thanks for any assistance

Re: CHSN channels not scanning in Chicago area
All you should have to do is run a channel scan (I suggest on the device itself, then launch app after it completes... note if you have a dvr engine running it can take up to 2 hours for it to update its list of available channels without restarting so things might not work right away as the app tries to use the engine for buffer) but I'm concerned you are only getting 57 channels as i believe to pick that up you should be getting "100" so you might need to describe your antenna setup and how it's aimed. Is your hdhr getting any of the 62.x virtual channels (including 62.1)?
I believe the physical channel is now 21 so if you have a windows pc, I'd launch hdhomerun_config_gui and tune to that physical channel and check the signal.

thanks for the reply. here's the latest update:
my antenna is an older Winegard similar to the Flatwave model sold today. Similar to a Mohu Leaf.
/* Last night */
Antenna was positioned horizontally atop a high bookshelf about 12' from an east facing window
Tried accessing via Win 10 laptop. No channel 62
Tried accessing via Roku Premiere plus on HDHR app. No channel 62
Tried accessing via Apple TV on HDHR app. Found Channel 62 and all subchannels
Went back to Win10 laptop and Roku. Found Channel 62 and all subchannels
/* This morning */
Antenna was positioned horizontally atop a high bookshelf about 1' from an east facing window
Re-scanned for channels. Now picking up 108 channels including 62.*
Not sure what fixed it. But I think I'm good to go. Excited to cut the cord, so I'll be checking this forum frequently.

40 miles is pushing the limits of an indoor antenna. Moving it closer to the window and giving it a clearer look would definitely help, especially since 62 has the weakest signal of any of the full-power stations in Chicago.
