DVR playback stops randomly

I haven't had an issue with the DVR on a Flex 4K (firmware version 20231214) and a Western Digital Red Plus 4TB in a USB-attached external enclosure until about a week ago.

Now, playback of a many but not all recordings will exit back to the show list at random places. If I restart watching, it starts from the beginning. The recording doesn't appear to be corrupt since I can forward and watch right through the part of the recording at which it previously stopped.

Any ideas?

Tivo Stream 4K with a wired network connection.

Ok, lets check what is going on... can you please enable "send diagnostic information" in the settings menu of the HDHomeRun app, reproduce the problem, then reply back with the DeviceID of your HDHomeRun.

Thanks - I see the end-of-stream information in the log.

Did it simply stop while playing or were you seeking at the time?

Just stops during normal playback.

I've cleared the app's cache and data but this made no difference.

The HDHomeRun app waited 10s for data then timed out.
The stats from the HDHomeRun FLEX look fine.

Wondering if your WiFi might be having problems...

It's using a wired connection but the issue happens on wireless too. I have a few other clients (another Tivo Stream 4K, several Fire TV sticks). I'll check if the issue is limited to this Tivo Stream 4K.

If you can please try a non Android/FireTV device such as Windows, Mac, iPhone/iPad, Apple TV, or XBox.
