I had a fire tv recast. Long story short, I am looking for a DVR that can show thumbnails when rewinding and FF live TV and recorded TV. And something that will work with my Fire TV remote.

The HDHomeRun DVR works with FireTV and the FireTV remote. It doesn't do thumbnails.... instead it has a near-instant 30s skip forward and 10s skip back so you can move around and find where you want to go quickly.

NextPVR supports the HDHR and supports thumbnails in recordings. Thumbnails in live TV is in prerelease testing. Fast skipping is available too of course.
