HD Homerun App V89.0 not working with Roku Player

As of this morning (05 Apr 24 0600 hrs EST), HD Homerun App V89.0 not working with Roku Player.

When HD Homerun App is selected, display briefly shows discovering devices, then returns to Roku Home Screen showing HD Homerun App icon.

Have reset Roku player, TV, and Homerun device with no joy.

Following are setup specifics:

TV - LG 24LM530S-PU

Roku Player - Roku 4 4400X
SW Build v11.5.0 build 4312-17
HD Homerun APP - Ver 89.0 Build 20240402

HD device - Mdl HDHR5-4K
Firmware 20231214

It's a bug in the update that went out yesterday. The dev team is working to fix it ASAP.

Perhaps the problem is model specific? I have an older Streaming Stick 4k (3810) and the latest Ultra (4802) with the same ver app (20240402) and have no problems changing channels.

It's a timing issue so there are multiple factors involved, including whether or not an HDHomeRun DVR is present, what devices are present, and how many channels are present, among others.

Exactly as OP stated: "Discovering Devices" appears for a fraction of a second, and then the app returns to the Roku menu.

We're still tracking that startup issue, sounds like one of the bugs we had even before this other issue from last week.

We haven't been able to reproduce the problem you are seeing but the next release in the works does a much better job of catching and displaying error information rather than simply exiting. There is a pretty good chance this release will be submitted to Roku on Friday and be available mid to late next week.
