DVR Stopped recording?

Last recording that seems to have happened was late January

I can setup to record and can see in the UI that the red dot thinks it recording but nothing happens

I have enabled diagnostic data
Model: HDHR4-2DT
Device ID: 1233372C
Firmware: 20230713


HDHomeRun Setup Version 20231214

The DVR Software is running on a Windows Server 2012R2 server

Oddly there seems to be a newer version of the Firmware but its not being picked up to install, possibly not for this region. I have reinstalled the record software and the firmware update does not trigger can this be done manually. I opened up the HDHomeRun Config GUI and used the upgrade tab to select the hdhomerun5_dvbt_firmware_20231214.bin file but that gave an error when running

However AFAIK there has been no update or firmware run on the device between when it last recorded and now so the firmware difference may well be a red herring

Hopefully this can be resolved?

This isn't about the recording but to point out that the firmware you tried to install is for a 5fh gen device (hdhr5) rather than your 4th gen device (hdhr4) you say you have.

Oh Yeah good point never noticed
Picked the right one and it did upgrade FW successfully, but version still shows the old July 23 one???

I believe that is the latest for the 4th gen.

The only few releases since then have been for models with built in dvr, and the 5th gen.

Is live TV working well? The DVR logs show a failure to tune the channels in.

@nedS Live TV has worked without issue even after recording stopped

I fiddled around and uninstalled and reinstalled the software and redetected channels again a few times and it appears to have started recording again

I have just ordered a Flex Quattro as I noticed its listed as having improved signal processing compared to this model? so that might help

I'll report back but it might be working again now
