It probably won't be available in the App Store for a couple days, especially being released on a Friday.

If you want it right now you can get it via TestFlight:

In another post some months back I talked about the slice guide not being updated to the correct day/time. That has never been resolved with my unit. I tried everything that was suggested. Swipe off, etc. The only thin that would get it back to being correct was a total power down on my Apple TV.

Any more thoughts on this and will the grid listing hopefully fix it?

Got the testflight version installed. Grid listing works great and looks good.

However, it is not intuitive as to how to get to the grid listing. Also be nice to have the option when opening the app to go directly to the grid listing.

I got the update with the new guide a couple days ago. I have a couple suggestions to make it more useful.

1. Can we get an option to default to the grid guide instead of the slice guide?

2. When scrolling through the guide, if I highlight a show that is currently airing live and select it, the options that come up are "Record this Airing" or "Record More". Can we have the option to just tune to the channel by default? If the program is currently airing live, the most likely scenario is that I want to watch that channel, not record something that is already airing.

The logic in app our apps - if you press select/ok on a channel it changes channel, if you press select/ok on a show it brings up the record popup.

Just got the HDhomerun flex 4-tuner for use with our Apple TV's. By comparing the Fire Stick 4K HDhomerun app with the Apple TV HDhomerun app, I see that there is very little in "Settings" for the Apple TV app. You can't turn off the "Slice Guide", or see the amount of DVR storage remaining on the attached USB disk on the Apple TV app. Also, when I activated my DVR with the subscription I had to do that in the Fire Stick 4K HDhomerun app.

Curious how soon we might see these basic "features" in the app? The Apple TV app seems to be pretty stable, just missing a few things the other HDhomerun apps have.

Thanks!

Full-framerate deinterlacing is progressing.

The AppleTV App is also missing the ability to pass through DD4.
