Is anyone aware of any efforts to get a Linux driver onto Enigma2 capable boxes so that HDHomeRun tuners can be used as a signal source for the Enigma2 firmware?
I am using openATV (https://github.com/openatv) and I am located in Australia. Finding boxes that come with DVB-T tuners is getting harder every day. Most of the hardware, if it supports terrestrial, only supports DVB-T2 but this is NOT the system used in Australia. We are still on DVB-T. My HDHomeRun HDHR5-4DT is working perfectly here and has tuners to spare. I would love to find a way to allow a HDHomeRun box to become linked, via the network, to the Enigma2 firmware such that Enigma2 sees the HDHomeRun like it would any of the tuners that are often built into the hardware.
I am aware of other users who would like to run Enigma2 and would probably be interested in getting a HDHomeRun to partner a box running Enigma2. Having access to 4 DVB-T tuners would be a great advantage to the solution as this number of DVB-T tuners is no longer available. This could also open the door to Enigma2 boxes with no tuners but an integration link to a partner HDHomeRun.

I would welcome any information or suggestions available.
Regards,
Ian.
