Prime Middle of 3 tuner LEDs is Solid Green, no other LEDs lit

Post by 3ton »

I know if the middle tuner is blinking then there is a hardware problem, what does it mean if it is solid green, but does not boot?

Try contact SD support to see they can get you a new power supply.

I tried another working prime power supply and it did not fix it.

Normally it's the power supply, where the supply can give enough power to the PRIME, but not to the CableCARD (which is basically a second system that boots up and such). If it's not the power supply, it could be an issue with the CableCARD itself.

That being said, a middle -blinking- LED normally means a CableCARD issue, so this might not even be the case here. Nick says it likely means the CPU isn't booting for some reason.

EDIT: edited for clarity

Turns out for me it was the power supply. I grabbed the power supply from an older homerun box I had (only 1A) just to test and at least it had enough juice to turn one tuner on. :D :D
