XBox HDHomerun app does not roll over to 2nd tuner

Post by Jimmersd »

I have seen this in the past and ran into this problem again tonight. I have 2 Primes.

This evening all 3 tuners were occupied recording on:
192.168.1.113
Model: HDHR3-CC
Device ID: 13129237
Firmware: 20200521

When I attempted to watch live TV I saw a black screen and a notice saying all tuners were occupied.
The second tuner on 192.168.1.114
Model: HDHR3-CC
Device ID: 131F6468
Firmware: 20200521

Shows all tuners are unused.

This happened at the top of the hour when recording would be switching over.

After cancelling a recording an quitting the App/UI and waiting a little while the HDHomerun DVR picked up the the second tuner

All 3 devices (2 tuners and DVR) are seen by the app at boot.

Hi,

From the logs - all three tuners of 13129237 were in use recording. The attempt to view channel 461 failed because 131F6468 doesn't have channel 461.

HDHomeRun 131F6468 - go to the device webpage (my.hdhomerun.com) - check that it shows the CableCARD as validated success.
Next turn on "send diagnostic information" on on the System Menu.
Then run a new channel scan on the Channel Lineup page.

I understand what you are saying. But your interpretation of the events are wrong.

We could not access any live TV during that time. The failure to see 461 was an attempt by the record engine to pick up recording on a consecutive event on the same channel.

At that time we could not view live TV. Which was a completely different channel. This is actually a problem.

I have enabled that channel on that tuner bank so there is no confusion.

Tuner 13129237 was recording:
* Saturday Night Live 20200627 [20200628-0200] on channel 1020.
* Star Trek S03E19 [20200628-0200] on channel 468.
* 1968 20200613 [20200628-0200] on channel 1215.

Then the was an attempt to watch live TV channel 461. The DVR system correctly reported "All tuners in use" as all three tuner capable of streaming that channel were in use. The three tuners of 131F6468 were idle but 131F6468 didn't have channel 461 as a valid channel.
