Cause of Record Failure?

Post by bigfan99 » Thu Jan 16, 2020 7:17 am

My wife tried to record a non-DRM protected program ("This is Us", which is broadcast TV) with our HDHomeRun Prime and Servio. The program did not record, and I suspect there may have been more than 3 tasks schedule to record at the same time (or 2 record tasks and an active live stream).

Is there a log file somewhere that might reveal the cause? Strangely, the Prime's System Log does not show any tuning events for 14-January, the night in question (although I have several programs that in fact recorded that night using the Prime)

Unfortunately no such log in servio/scribe at least not one easily accessed that includes such information (i need to double check if it is there if one pulls the drive)

Keep in mind that times are utc (thus prime time in US will be "early the next day"

Thanks.

It seems my Prime stopped updating the System Log. I reset the Prime and the logging is back to normal. I am not sure if the System Log would noted if there was a tuner conflict (if it had been working).
