Channels present when connected to TV but missing with connect duo

Post by gk1980 » Sat May 18, 2019 4:29 pm

I live in Buffalo, and usually get to enjoy the Canadian stations as well. Unfortunately, connect duo isn't detecting any of these stations that have perfect reception when directly connected to the TV. How do I go about getting these channels detected?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm not seeing any Canadian stations in your channel scan that are even remotely close to coming in. The Toronto stations are down around like 30% signal strength, when the bare minimum you have any chance of locking on at it is about 45%. What zip code are you in, what antenna are you using, and what direction is it pointed?

RCA ANT751E

I was watching CIII Global 41.1 & CBLT CBC 5.1 today without issue, immediately before connecting to the HDHomeRun

The signal strength on those channels is well below the point where I would expect the HDHomeRun to lock on. The signal strength on the US channels is in line with what I would expect, so I don't believe there's any issue with the HDHomeRun, you're just trying to receive signals that are outside the range it is capable of receiving.
