No audio using HDHR View on Win 7

Postby PompousAss » Sat Mar 16, 2019 10:05 pm

No audio, either on full HD with AC3 or on SD channels with plain vanilla stereo, streaming directly from the Quatro to a Win7 PC via the View app.

I've only used this app a couple of times on my Win 7 box during initial testing, but I'm pretty sure I would have noticed if I'd had audio problems before.

Video is fine, but I don't see a way to pause/play/rewind. Is this just some kind of limited Win7 functionality?

Audio is fine if I use the Plex web player, so I don't think this is a codec issue.

Win 7 requires an ac3 codec/filter and generally 32 bit vlc (don't let 64bit touch the system). Plex typically transcodes.

It does not have such trick play features.

On win 7, you should be using WMC. But officially if you have the DVR you are to use kodi with the add-on.
