I downloaded 20190220-150 _minAP119 TO SIDE LOAD but after it installs it comes back with "incompatible"
I did it 4 different times, and it appears like everything is fine until it comes back with "incompatible"
I haven't found a "cookbook" version on how to side load that exact apk into a firestick, there are so
little things that nobody mentions in other how to side load articles, at first I just let it load the HDHR already on the Galaxy Tab A
when that failed I downloaded 20190220-150 _minAP119 into files and installed it but it still came the after "installing" and said
"incompatible"
One of the sticks lost Premium Tv, one did not so I guess it will eventually lose PTV so I am trying to get ahead of it
Laptops just fine, its sticks that are failing
Maybe I should ask? Will Premium Channels be available on the side loaded SD? Or just the OTA channels
It is my impression that even if you sideload you will lose Premium channels. That is the only way Amazon will approve HDHomerun APP..

My guess is that we should be seeing the "Non PremiumTV" HDHomerun app in the Amazon app portal soon, and side loading the app will no longer be necessary, and of no real benefit, (wether it is installed from Amazon portal, or side loaded, Fire TV devices are not going to be able to play Premium TV subscription content.)

I don't know if this "mod" to Fire TV devices will allow it to access Premium TV content, but, it has been stated that it allows Fire TV to "behave just like Android TV", and even use Googles Live Channels App, that is not available for Fire TV.

Worth try though,...https://9to5google.com/2017/07/05/amazo ... id-tv-mod/

I had one firetv device, it was aweful, returned it. No big loss for me. Amazon's being Amazon. Besides, if the Cable channels are that important either get cable equipment or a cable card and windows media center. No one should ever think of live streaming as a legitimate replacement for Cable/Sattelite. If stability and image quality are important, go dish. If only stability matters, go cable. If this omniverse thing is allowed to remain, it will only be because it can't compete quality wise. For me, money matters...SD all the way.

Is SD going to develop an app for the Roku or another way for users to watch both the OTA & PTV content without having to purchase or subscribe to another vendors product?

I believe there are several threads here on the forum discussing why there isn't a Roku app, (Roku doesn't support mpeg 2), and assume that SD isn't going to develop a Roku app specifically for Premium TV.

But, things change in the Streaming business every day, so, who knows.
