It constantly happens on both of my Shields especially with Live TV. It's especially annoying while watching news and talk shows. I only use the HDHR app and occasionally Live Channels and it occurs on both. My wife has come to accept it but it's still annoying. If I use VLC there's no issue with the AV Sync so it has to be the app.
We ignore it because we don't have the issue with recorded content until this week. Watching the Big Bang Theory and near the end of the show the AV Sync was off by almost 5 seconds. This is something that needs to be looked at. I find it hard to believe it can't be reproduced in house.
Will AV Sync ever be resolved?

Ah ha! Found the original post.
Is this still an issue for your, Zacman? If so, we'd like to get a sample of video where the audio de-syncs.

Re: Will AV Sync ever be resolved?
Yes happened this morning watching FNC around 7:00 AM. It was way out of sync then the video froze and the audio continued. Then the audio stopped. Everything was frozen for a few seconds then it all jumped to the live video again and it was all back in sync.
Sorry I wasn't recording at the time and FNC is DRM so I couldn't record it anyway.
Next time this happens on playback of a recorded show I'll post back.

Re: Will AV Sync ever be resolved?
So I had this issue again on Sunday night playing back a recorded episode of the Blacklist. AV Sync would go off by several seconds and doing a skip forward or back would sync it back up again but it would drift off again. I finally stopped playback, completely exited the HD app on the Shield, restarted the app and resumed playback on the episode. After that there were no more sync issues.
I need to try and replay it from the beginning and see if the condition repeats itself or not. I'll post back my findings once I do.

If this forum didn't prune older posts/threads the answer for this problem could have been found very easily. It happened to me(as well as others) in the past but I don't recall what the fix was and I can't search to find it as it's no longer here.
I think it had something to do with the audio setting.

I, too, would like some guidance on the A/V sync issue. Just coming back in the fold after purchasing an Nvidia Shield and attempting to use HD Homerun/DVR. Most disturbing to see lips move when no sound is being heard. Reminds one of the old movies when the setup in the projector was not correct. Any tweaks?
