I had the same problem on all of My devices. Including Shield, Windows, ATV, Roku and FireTV. The website was also inaccessible. I understand that problems occur, but this points to the real need to allow the hardware/software to function without any internet connection. At least at that point I could have watched Live TV and played existing recordings. It seemed strange that the client would not even load. Which meant the system was absolutely useless during the outage.signcarver wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 7:38 am Provided you don't stop/restart the dvr it can handle about an 8 hour outage but typically nothing new can get scheduled during that outage.
Unfortunately for flex/scribe users they are probably more likely to restart device to try and make things right and lose such cached tasks, while a nas most likely wouldn't get restarted.
Cloudflare was actually reporting to me that it was an issue on SD's server when trying.to access things during that time (when i waited long enough for a response) .so i didn't think it was anything that needed acknowledgement as it was obvious where the fault was from what was being reported.
I hope that some effort is being directed towards the project to allow full offline functionality during an Internet outage.
May I asked what the status of that project is?
