The episodes view does not allow scrolling the view with the up/down buttons, only the scroll wheel.
Will test today...
ronj wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 11:26 am The right arrow button pops out the context menu even when there's no ">" indicator on the top most item that represents all episodes.
There is no right arrow on the recommended item by design. It is more important people see they need to go down.
ronj wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 11:26 am The back button does not work to get out of this view. I have to force my remote into arrow pointer mode and click the upper right "x" close button to get out. That's annoying.
This has been fixed - it will be in the next release.

thanks so much for all who posted the fix for recorded episodes view. that "New episodes view or "Gold Rush"ed was horrible. Followed directions: open settings, go to "Early access to new features"and set it to OFF. close HD, reopened program and my recorded view was restored to normal. what a p.i.t.a.

1. It makes more sense to me to have the episode at the top (next to play) be the oldest unwatched recording rather than the newest.
2. There seems to be a lot of room to show the duration of the recording somewhere in the list item.
3. Shows with multiple seasons are sometimes hard to navigate. For example, I have some SNL recordings from this year that for some reason don't have a season/episode number. They are put in the "2025" season which I have to scroll a ways down to because a sub-channel shows reruns from many different past seasons. I thought 1 of my recordings was gone before I found it there.

Overall, I like this new view, but I find the 'locked' recordings exceedingly annoying. Most of the 'locked' recordings presented won't even get recorded as they've already been recorded in the past. AKA, reruns I've already watched. Some other things are just display weird. I happened to record one segment of a local news program several years ago and the one recording in the list is all the way to the bottom of probably a couple dozen 'locked' recordings with generic descriptions. I no longer have a task setup for this program, so I wouldn't expect anything but the single recording in the list.

Also, spoilers? Having a description for an episode in the future might give away stuff.

EDIT: [*]I guess what you would call the suggested recording when you go into a recording list seems random. It's not always the oldest episode, or newest recording, but something in the middle of a season? This would be a great feature if picked the right episode.

NM, I misread the ep and season. It's always the newest recording. Who watches shows in reverse order?

Finally, the loading video seems bit heavy heavy on the bass. I was expecting silence, and I got my windows rattled unexpectedly. Reminded me of the old Simpsons THX bit ,"The audience is now deaf."

I'll test it on the new release and see if it's still a problem.

On top of being forced to use this interface, it appears to be poorly tested given the number of bugs I've found.

How can we go back to the old format I do not like this new format I don't like how they show upcoming shows and it takes forever to find the episode that's recorded it it is so very inconvenient. If they're going to officially change this new format I will not continue my DVR service. And this is very disappointing because I enjoyed HD home run since 2022 and I got it for the DVR service but if they aren't going to do anything to allow you to go back to the old format then I don't want it. Because it's very hard to find the recording episodes mixed with shows that are coming on in the future. Why can't they just show us the shows that we recorded the episodes that are recorded not all this other bunch of Bologna.

Most recently recorded is shown at the top. Are you wanting a list of most recently recorded going back multiple episodes?

I don't like that you have to combine recorded shows with upcoming shows. I forgot the name of what show this was but I found one episode in between two upcoming shows and at first I didn't think there was any episodes recorded this is making it very hard that's why I turned off early access cuz I did not like it. I just liked when you guys just showed the shows that just recorded I don't like all the extra features that it shows What's going to be recorded in the future. If people want to know they can go to the Discover page. That shouldn't be combined in the recording page just my opinion. I hope this changes otherwise when my DVR subscription is up I will not renew it. I enjoyed HD home run since 2022 and I hope I can enjoy it for many more years. But with this new format I will not cuz I don't like it I tried using it four times and now I'm forced to use it and I don't like it I'm just going to give up on watching my record shows pretty soon. Cuz now I have to search for search for them among shows that are coming soon to record. Even on Matlock it doesn't show the most recent recorded show it shows upcoming soon episode at the very top. I hope you can do something to change this make it better and make it worse why change something that wasn't broken

There's so many problems with this new feature shows are mixed up in the recordings with upcoming shows and if you're ready to watch the show it does not allow you to play it back from the beginning. Their shows that I still have recorded that I want to watch over again but I can't with this new feature I really dislike this new feature. You're making our recording shows unwatchable. Please get rid of that upcoming shows in the recording page you can find upcoming shows and stuff on the Discovery page. We need to go back to the old format. Easier to use and user-friendly. You guys pushed out this new feature way too soon before all the bugs were fixed. I'm going to give up on watching my recorded shows until I find somewhere else I can connect my DVR service with a better platform because I'm being forced after watching a show I cannot re-watch it and I tried hey tried two different options to try to get to show to play after I watched it once I hit the title and it just quits and I went with my remote to the right in put watch from the beginning and it still cut me off. Will not let me watch a show that I already watched ones. Hope you can do something about fixing this and making it more user friendly. I really miss the old way we used to watch our recording shows much easier and much user friendly

Press Right... the default option there is to watch from the beginning.
