**** 21.3 with AC-4 Audio Support

Post by ferrellsl »

I finally got around to tracking down the channel order problem that some users had mentioned with my AC-4 enabled versions of **** 19 and 20. I've fixed the channel order issue and compiled **** 21.3 against said branch. You can get the stable version of **** 21.3 with AC-4 support at: https://github.com/ferrellsl/****-ac4/r ... /v21.3-ac4
Not sure why **** is such a bad word here but replace the asterisks with the proper spelling in the link and you'll be fine.

For those who want the channel-fixed version of ffmpeg, you can get that here: https://github.com/ferrellsl/ffmpeg-ac4

If you've been using **** 19 or 20 you can install 21.3 over the old versions but it will import all your old settings but you'll need to update your NextPVR add-on. Then things should work fine.

It's simply due to unfortunate perceptions about that software. Certain business entities might see us allowing topics about "that software" and think we support piracy, simply because a lot of pirates used to use that software. We know that said software was made for legitimate reasons, and have a lot of respect for that group.

OK, gotcha. Makes sense. Thanks for that answer.

I just finished an Android release as well. You can get it here: https://github.com/ferrellsl/****-ac4/r ... 21.3-ac4.2

If there's enough interest I'll also build a Debian/Ubuntu version and leave it at the same link.

Again, remember to replace the asterisks with your favorite media player that rhymes with Cody.

A FireStick/FireTV release will be available at the same link in about 40 minutes. It is completely untested as I don't own a FireTV or FireStick. The Android and Windows releases have been thoroughly tested so I expect this release to be fine, but if you encounter issues, please leave a note in "Issues" at my github repo.
