YTTV works great for my wife, daughter and me as well. They've got iPhones and I have Android.

I wanted to update my YTTV findings WRT ESPN Unlimited. It is included in the YTTV Guide and Library. For Hockey, you get all of the games each night that are not local, including home & away feeds. I have it set to record all NHL events. It is not very easy to find the recordings. You drill down from an NHL Logo that says "New < 1 hour ago" and then select "View More". Not very intuitive, but it is all there. You have one row of "On Now & Upcoming" and another row that says "completed" recordings.

You also have a choice of using the ESPN Unlimited app if you prefer. YTTV supports TV Everywhere. You would just log-in with your YTTV credentials.

Definitely a good deal for YTTV Sports & News & ESPN unlimited for $50/Mo. considering ESPN Unlimited costs $32/Mo.

Hmmm... I wonder why... maybe they don't know about Verizon's changes...do you know of any other ISPs that used this model? I wouldn't want to pawn them off on someone that I knew couldn't use them....

These tuners work with any ISP that uses CableCards, not just Verizon. I have no idea what the CableCard status is on other ISPs, but the people who are buying these tuners are highly likely to know exactly what they’re buying.

You can use cable cards with Comcast in Knoxville, TN like I do, but only if you got card(s) before some date, I don't recall that fell between the 16th and the 31st of October 2024 as they are not being offered to new customers as of that date.

I got my cable card in August of 2011 while living in the 3719 zip code. When I moved to the 37916 zip code on 02/25/2013 Comcast had to get me a whole new account number for my TV service and my then new internet service (transferring my DSL service would have meant going from 6 MBPS down to 1MBPS down), because I had previously been paying for an upgraded level of TV service provided via bulk account.

When I moved from the 37916 zip code back to the 37919 zip code (different address than before) on 12/23/24 Comcast was able to move my services. I got a new account number, but did not lose use of my Cable card.

In the summer of 2025 I switched to Knoxville Utilities Board for internet but did not get their TV or phone service (I only have cell service).

When I called Comcast to have my internet services canceled the rep said that, because I had legacy service my TV service would have to be redone. This resulted in my service being renamed from TV:Digital Starter to Popular TV beginning with my 05/19/25 bill while the price remained 70.00 per month (raised to 70.50 on my 12/19/25 bill) and my cable card continued to work. A 12.00 per month charge for TV Box + Remote was added on my 05/19/25 bill though I had not requested any equipment.

When went to a local store to see about having the 12.00 monthly charge removed since I did not have a box or remote and no need for any the rep there saw that it was already canceled. My 06/19/25 bill had a credit for the 12.39 credit labeled TV Box + Remote May 22 - June 22.
