What happens is, I will keep hitting the forward button (to skip commercials) not knowing it is now live. Watching a previously recorded show, the timeline is colored blue, so you can see where the show is. This is an example of what I see when watching a finished recording. I just don't see the blue timeline while a recording is "in process".
ETA: Looking at every streaming app I have seen, there is a timeline of the buffer ending in live (even if it does not have a buffer to watch). Maybe that would be a better description of what I am requesting. I have one streaming app that always asks if you want to join live, or start from the beginning with the buffer, and it has a timeline as well.
