We have confirmed an issue with playing some channels on some player devices with the HDHomeRun app releases 20260707/20260708 (the date code varies by player platform).
The issue has been fixed in HDHomeRun app release 20260710.
Windows, Mac, Fire TV (Amazon App store), and Apple TV - make sure the HDHomeRun app has updated to 20260710. You can check the app version in the Settings menu of the HDHomeRun app. Roku is not affected.
If you uninstalled and reinstalled be sure to go into Settings to set your Speaker Configuration again as the setting is lost when you uninstall.
Android:
UPDATE - Android app update is now live on the Google Play store.
iPhone/iPad:
UPDATE - iOS app update is now live on the Apple store.
What went wrong:
There are two missing filters in the release.
There is a missing video filter that only matters in devices that do not support MPEG2 natively and then only on progressive channels (ie 720p).
There is a missing audio filter that only matters when up converting from mono/stereo to 5.1 or 7.1, and only when the Speaker Configuration is set to 5.1 or 7.1. If the Speaker Configuration is left "Unconfigured" the code does a reversable up conversion that doesn't need the filter but also doesn't create a surround sound feeling.
Channels not playing after app update
Re: Channels not playing after app update
This new version broke ATSC 3.0 channels on the Shield. When tuning to a channel, it does not tune and the app crashes back to Shield home screen.
They work fine on Android devices.

A new Android / Fire release (20260713) has been submitted to the Amazon and Google app stores. It will take a day or so to come through.
