HDHR App has stopped functioning properly on XBOX One

Yesterday afternoon the HDHR app on all 3 of my Xbox Ones boot to a black screen and that is all.

I can use the app on my desktop computer okay.

Do you see the explosion splash screen first, then you get stuck on a black screen?

Yes. I can press the B button and I hear a ding. If I press it twice it will quit back out to the XBox home screen.

Okay, I had to completely uninstalled the app from the XBox including groups etc. Shutdown the device, unplugged and force a complete reboot and then reinstall. It works now.
I tried just uninstalling and reinstalling and ran into a 0x80073cf6 error.

One of my devices started working on its own.

I'll have to do the same with the other.

Same here. I see the explosion splash screen then get stuck on a black screen. I have to restart the Xbox every night for it to work.

Double checking, if you reboot your XBox it starts working again?

I wonder if the app has been backgrounded and it isn't handling it correctly. An interesting test would be to force-stop the HDHomeRun app when you next see this problem, then see if it launches again ok.

It stopped working last night. And was still down this morning. But when I got home this afternoon it booted.

We'll see what happens and I'll try to force close and reopen. I hadn't tried that.

It seems the B button no longer closes the app.

Okay I turned off the XBox about an hour ago and returned and turned it back on and the problem is back.

I tried forcing the app closed by pressing the X button highlighting the HD app and then bringing up the hamburger menu and using Quit.

It does not recover. The problem remains. I did look at the Version that was installed and it was 20260608b (I think)

I can confirm cold booting the Xbox resolves the problem. Until the next time.

Not to sleep. When we are done using it we hold the X button until it asks "Turn off Console" "Restart Console". We select Turn off.

Nothing special about the setup. All 3 boxes are showing this problem. And it only began the evening of June 10th if that means anything.

But it will boot the HD app completely if I select "Restart console" and all of the boxes will randomly work occasionally
