Error message in DVR. Harmless ??

Post by EddieA »

Just noticed this sequence of messages when opening the HDHomerun app on Windows. The DVR is running in Linux and the device is a HDHR5-4K.

Code: Select all

20260124-01:02:31 Recording: starting new file Live channel 2.1 fc0d317b
20260124-01:02:31 Recording: sending request to 10807747 at 192.168.0.81 for Live channel 2.1 fc0d317b
20260124-01:02:33 Recording: stream from 10807747 closed - retrying Live channel 2.1 fc0d317b
20260124-01:02:34 Recording: no tuners available to record Live channel 2.1 fc0d317b
20260124-01:02:34 Playback: Live channel 2.1 failed to start: 808 DVR Failure
Everything appears to be working correctly. Should I be worried about these.

It is saying that you attempted to go into Live TV but all tuners were busy recording shows. This is normal when every tuner is busy recording.

The fix is to add another HDHomeRun :)

The live channel was the only tuner in use.

Cheers.

What does the log from the HDHomeRun show for the same time?

Nothing unexpected:

Code: Select all

20260124-01:02:35 Tuner: tuner2 tuning 2.1 KCBS-HD (8vsb:575MHz-1)
20260124-01:02:35 Tuner: tuner2 streaming http to 192.168.0.3:8950
20260124-01:04:55 Tuner: tuner2 http stream ended (remote closed)
But now it seems to have settled down and I'm able to start/stop viewing without those errors anymore.

Cheers.
