DVR Resume Troubles

Post by CEG3 »

I find that when I return to say continue watching a ballgame while I eat my lunch my recording does not resume where I left off. I wouldn't mind say a 5 second rewind, but the system is setup to rewind a good bit more and I find that annoying.

Is it slightly off when it resumes or does it start at the beginning?

It doesn't restart from the beginning, but it seems to me the resuming should be where I left off.

It is an approximation... it should be close but it won't be exact.

In my experience the recording has been rewound more than close. I think it should be closer to exactly where I left, sort of in the way Youtube can restart across multiple devices exactly where you left off.

If it is always significantly earlier than you expect I wonder if it is using an out of date resume point somehow...
