Can someone craft (or use AI) a form letter that we can

Post by GBWalleyes »

Can someone craft (or use AI) a form letter that we can send to our representatives? I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what to write, however I live in the Green Bay area and all the ATSC 3.0 channels are locked down, and I highly doubt my representatives know anything about the issues or even anything about Nextgen TV.

thanks,
Jeff

Lon.TV and Antenna Man are probably the best resources for this right now. Here are their latest videos on ATSC 3.0 DRM, and I believe you can still submit comments to the FCC proposal they talk about. Some of their older videos might have some examples of what you can say to your representatives, but you might just give them one of these video links.

This would probably make some people angry, but it might be helpful if SD sent out an email to all HDHomeRun owners asking them to write to the FCC, telling them to either prohibit DRM on ATSC 3.0 or ensure owners of HDHomeRun devices will be able to view DRM on ATSC 3.0. It would also be helpful (as mentioned above) to include a form letter to send to FCC (which you can modify as needed). I've already sent my request to FCC. I have no idea how many people own HDHomeRun devices, but if it's in the thousands or even tens of thousands, I imagine the FCC would have to take notice. My $.02
