How do I set up
So far I'm not impressed with the instructions given. The paper I got with the box says go to hdhomrun.com to configure. When I get there I don't know where to go so I spend time searching for the info. A direct link would be helpful. Once I find the instructions tab it says click http://hdhomerun.local/lineup.html which I do then it says page not found. Can someone help me with setting this up or do I need to return it and find something else?

The instruction should say to go to https://my.hdhomerun.com/ which will take you to the instructions site.
Short version - install the app on your favorite device... it will either start working or prompt you to run a channel scan.
The URL you mentioned http://hdhomerun.local/lineup.html is the correct URL for manual access to the device webpage. You don't need to access that but it should work from most browsers.

I downloaded the app on my roku, computer and ipad but all say no hdhomrun tuners found but it is plugged in. And here I thought this would be an easy setup.

Ok, that explains why the hdhomerun.local URL didn't work.
Is the green light lit on the back of the HDHomeRun?
Is there anything quirky about your home network? Multiple VLANs, WiFI extenders, etc...

Yes I had a green light. We do have wifi extenders but the internet box is plugged directly into the HD box.

Can you tell us the "Device ID" printed on the bottom label of the HDHomeRun unit?

10B23CFO. I unplugged it so if you are doing a search you won't find it

It has been able to connect to the internet, so that's good.
Your wifi extenders, are they in "bridge mode"? If not, they are basically isolated little networks, and that would explain why wifi clients are not seeing the HDHomeRun, plugged into the main router.
