I have a TV antenna mounted in my attic, connected directly to an HDHomeRun Flex. A single Ethernet cable enters the living space and connects to my router, so I can watch OTA TV anywhere in the house on a Roku.
I was thinking that it would sure be nice to be able to do the same with OTA FM radio: FM antenna in the attic, connected to a device similar to the HDHomeRun Flex, Ethernet to my router, listen via Roku. Sure, I can stream radio stations, but not all of the local stations stream, and the streaming quality of those that do leaves a lot to be desired.
Any chance of a future device like this?
HDHomeRun FM?

I don’t know if it would ever make sense to produce this as a commercial product, but you can build this yourself with an RTL-SDR dongle and something like a Pi Zero running rtl_fm_streamer: https://github.com/AlbrechtL/rtl_fm_streamer

As a bonus, you could also choose to incorporate https://github.com/theori-io/nrsc5 in the DIY solution mentioned above.
Re: HDHomeRun FM?
Always a chance, but it seems unlikely, as it would (typically) require additional hardware (tuner/demod) support, and few (to none) would be willing to pay for such support (and if everyone is not willing to do so, how much additional would you personally be willing to pay to add the support just for you?; likely better to build your own solution than pay for SD engineering).
