Hi,
I am sorry for asking such a broad question but would like to understand the role this device would play in my situation.
I am trying to setup a process that would allow me to cut the cord and continue to have a dvd solution and streaming of an IPTV service.
Can someone begin with a basic description that I can add questions to?
Thank You

Re: How does this fit into my system
Unless your cord-cutting plans include using an antenna for over-the-air channels, this device would not be useful.
Re: How does this fit into my system
The input is a TV antenna - it picks up all your local channels (>100 here in Phoenix for example).
Add a hard drive and it is a whole-home DVR - you tell it what series and movies to record and it will automatically record every unique episode (skipping episodes you already have recorded).
DVR requires guide data which is $35/year.

This device would not record streamed feeds from iptv?
What solution could be added to cover the iptv portion?
