I just noticed something that maybe normal, or it may not.
While watching Live TV on my computer monitor, 1920 x 1080, than looking at the same show having recorded it live, the shows display size is SMALLER on the playback of the Live TV recording.
IE. The show is displayed larger while watching live than what I recorded minutes later. Obviously that would sort of be a concern as my shows would be more letterbox than what is actually being seen on the TV live.
Do I have some setting wrong or is there some explanation? I have two screenshots but not sure how to add them on this website. Insert picture does not do anything.
LiveTV Screen Size vs Recorded Screen Size

Re: LiveTV Screen Size vs Recorded Screen Size
The HDHomeRun app slightly zooms/crops the video when the aspect ratio of the player does not match the aspect ratio of the video in order to minimize black bars. The screenshot of the recording you sent was from VLC, which does not do this.
Re: LiveTV Screen Size vs Recorded Screen Size
Thank you. I actually used Greenshot for the screen captures. My Windows 11 video player was / is MPC-HC (64-bit). So to sum it up, HDHomeRun will crop the video as captured a bit differently than what is played like in my case MPC-HC. I have observed HDHomeRun tends to lean more towards a letter box visual with thicker black bars on left and right side. Mostly for older shows.
