Pause not working on Apple TV

I have an HDHR and use it as a DVR. I am able to play back recorded shows on many different platforms (iPhone, Android phone, LG TV app, Windows app, Apple TV). Lately the ability to Pause playback has stopped working, but only on my (two) Apple TV devices. Pause/Resume works fine on the other platforms. Is this a new/known software issue?
