wabc atsc 3.0 wont tune

I can't watch jimmy kimmel on 107.1. When I go to http://192.168.1.2:5004/auto/v107.1?duration=30 I get Problem loading page. channel 7.1 works fine

I believe atsc 3.0 wabc is drm protected and if so such would be expected.

WABC in NYC just implemented DRM so 107.1 no longer tunes in on the Flex 4k. 7.1 AtSC 1.0 works just fine.

Does 7.1 still work just fine? I haven't used it in a while but just noticed I'm not seeing it today. I ran a channel scan and all the 7.x channels are gone.

It should if you can pick it up properly... many wouldnt even have a suitable antenna.

Picking it up properly seems to be my issue.

I'm seeing conflicting data on whether WABC (and WPIX) are broadcasting from WTC or Empire State Building. I wonder if they've been flipping back and forth lately.

My antenna is only about 5 miles from ESB but it seems to be pretty directional. I might need to go up on the roof and give it a nudge.

Anyway, I noticed that I had a 4 way splitter on the feed for my HDHomeRun. I removed that and the signal improved enough so those channels started getting picked up again. Still weaker that the WTC channels but good enough.

WABC (which also hosts WPIX 11.1) is on the Empire State Building. It has a backup facility on Orange Mountain in NJ, sharing a tower with backup facilities for Fox, WWOR, and Univision.

They would have a weak*er* signal but if you need to split it give it a try. There are amplifiers and amplified splitters if it turns out you need to go that route.

I should confess that I also have a two-way splitter on the roof. The four-way after that was always asking for trouble. I've been in this house for over 30 years and I don't even remember why I needed so many outputs in that corner. So don't read too much into my post.
