Roku Player Error

Post by Tony_T »

I'm frequently getting the following error with the HDHomeRun App on Roku:
The App loads, I can get to the guide, but when selecting a channel:
"Roku Player Error (an unexpeted problem) but not server timeout or HTTP error"

Also, not as frequent, this pop's up on startup:

Code: Select all

EXIT_BRIGHTSCRIPT_CRASH
BRIGHTSCRIPT: ERROR: roSGNode.<lookup>:
Rendezvous aborted for error_retriever_task: pkg:/components/Discover/Task/error_retriever.
ml(335)
Current Function:
015: sub init()
016: m.menuListSelectedCategory =
m.global.findNode("MenuList Top")
017: m.itemgroup =
m.top.findNode("itemgroup")
018: m.itemmask = m.top.findNode("itemMask*)
019: m.itemlabel = m.top.findNode("itemLabel")
020: m.itemFocused =
m.top.findNode("itemFocused")
.....
Running HDHomeRun via Plex also crashes a lot when playing, but no issues at all when using the DVR function in Plex (but this is really a Plex issue.)

However, no issues at all when using the HDHomeRun Android built-in App in my Sony TV

Antenna or Cable?

If Antenna, are the channels ATSC 1.0 (below 100) or ATSC 3.0 (above 100)?

I've seen my 4660 blow when connected to my hdhr5-4k within the last week. My hdhr5-4k is set to start Live TV and Live TV slice guide.

The primary channel it would start playing is ATSC 1.0 but there is a ATSC 3.0 non-DRM channel. It's infrequent so I usually ignore it and hope it goes away.
