POE versions
Since some people like to put there Homeruns as close as possible to where the coax enters the house...and since lil' power warts have a habit of dying in a few years, it'd be great if the Homeruns could also be powered via POE.
Re: POE versions
We have looked at this in the past... PoE adds a significant cost unfortunately. Your best option is a PoE device-side adapter that will provide 12V (FLEX models).

Re: POE versions
Cheap poe can often result in same issue as wall wart going out which then requires entire unit be replaced when such does.
It would be nice if SD offered such poe splitter (similar to lte filter) but know that such may go out as often, or maybe even more often, than a wall wart but I am not sure if a company would want to literally state those potential issues.
Another thing I think SD should offer is a couple of high pass filters (above... fm, low vhf, and the one that always seems to be needed in the UK). Yes those are all "easily" obtainable but one needs to know where to look but such may also need a more professional approach to such install rather than blindly throwing stuff on only to find out it was a faulty connector)

Re: POE versions
PoE would also encourage people to install devices in unsuitable environments such as outdoors or in unfinished attics. The improvements would be minimal as well; an extra 20' of coax cable is like a 2% difference in signal strength, just not that significant.

Re: POE versions
If there was a PoE Version, I would have paid a little extra for it. The device has to be connected to the network anyway & that's one less cable to deal with.

True. For me it's just one less annoying wall wart.jasonl wrote: Thu May 01, 2025 6:01 pm PoE would also encourage people to install devices in unsuitable environments such as outdoors or in unfinished attics.

Re: POE versions
Haven't used this specifically with SD HDHR devices but I've used them for many others.

Just make sure you purchase the correct model based on power and connectors.
