I would find it easier to navigate, if the initial view defaulted to "Recent". Since I wind up changing to that view on most occasions. Thanks!

Yes, please! Make Recent the default.

For weekly episodic shows the plan is to keep the current handling of defaulting to the current season.

For other content we are open to tweaking the default handling.

I think for live tv, that sounds good. However, for recordings it would be very nice to be able to go straight to the recent recordings, as those are what I'd like to see first when I look up the recordings of an episodic tv show, and that's what I'm going to go to even if I have to click a few times to get there.

That makes sense under Discover, but under recordings, people generally would be looking for the next recording in the series, that they haven't seen.

I am generally looking for the latest recordings of the latest season, even if the DVR is filling in recordings from older seasons.

Same. Every time I go into a recording, I'm always clicking left and then up to Recent. Every time.

What show are you watching where you don't care which season an episode is recorded from?

Usually recording then watching current season. Series, in order.

All of them? I don't use my DVR as a giant data library. Any given show has somewhere between 1-5 recordings, and I am always going to watch them in the order recorded and then delete them when I'm done.

That's the case regardless of whether I'm recording a rerun-focused show (Seinfeld, This Old House, etc) or a show where I'm only going to record the current season. I simply don't have a need to put anything into season categories.

I could be the only person that uses a DVR this way, but I kinda doubt it.

I wouldn't mind a random button for some shows. Let me watch a random Futurama or Bob's Burgers.
