Recording by date

I could not find a thread on this so excuse me if there is one...

It would be a plus to be able to record a show that you know is playing on a specific date/time/channel within the 14 day guide period without searching for it. For example, BUZZR does not list by episodes of these old shows (someone mentioned another channel that does this). Here is my scenario: On April 14th at 4:00pm there is an advertised episode of "Press Your Luck" airing that I want to record. I opened the Discover tab, searched for Press Your Luck and found one for BUZZR and ABC. Picked the old one (BUZZR), right-clicked the arrow on the list only shows up to April 13th (6 dates) from today 4/9. I then went back to the Discover tab, clicked Now and scrolled right page after page until Monday, 4:00pm appeared. The same PYL icon shows as when searching which makes sense but it will not allow me to record just that date/time. I'm guessing this may be a limitation of the guide? Is this a feature that could be implemented? Thank you.

EDIT: It looks you have to select Auto Record from the list then the specific date you find on the Discover, Now page (right-scrolling page after page) to record that specific date/time.

Recording tasks are always associated with a show/series. Normally you simply tell the DVR to record the series but you can specific specific a airing selected by date+time+channel. You can't manually specify a date+time+channel to record without guide.

Thanks nickk. I managed to set it (I think) as it shows in the Tasks tab. When returning to the guide I do not see a red dot in the box for that date.
