Re: HDHomeRun UI (20250314) feedback - craigwillie
The new interface looks good. I have most of the same concerns as others as far as sorting recordings by criteria, seeing past and future recordings, etc. Easier with old interface. Old interface was a little more condensed, less blank space on pc. I record Carcass, Music City Trucks, PowerNation Builds, Detroit Muscle, Engine Power (all of which still do not have episode identifications) and have to find and delete duplicates manually constantly. Thanks for your continuing work and improvements.

Selecting any episode, recorded or upcoming, then press right (or tap/click right arrow next to the summary), then you should see options for changing the series recording. This will apply to all episodes.RWFarley wrote: Sat Apr 05, 2025 11:36 pm In the new UI, how do you modify a Task? I want to change one of my Tasks from "All Episodes" to "Current Season"
I can't find how to get to those settings.

The new setting Upcoming and Recent really helps! Thank you for this improvement. Now I can see what is coming down the pike.

@NedS Can a Now Playing episode be added to either the Upcoming or Recent section? I recently had the following ugly navigation situation, for a show I have a single recording of:
1.) Discover -> Seinfeld (looking for the episode currently airing, have one old recording from Season 9).
2.) Starts me in Season 9. No Now Playing there.
3.) Scroll up to Recent, then Upcoming. No Now Playing in either.
4.) Scroll down to Season 8. Nope.
5.) Season 5. Nope.
6.) Season 4. There it is.
Let me know if my steps require clarification. Thanks.

Yeah, an episode should probably show up in "Upcoming" if it has started, but hasn't finished yet. I will bring it up with the dev team.Cabal wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 8:19 pm @NedS Can a Now Playing episode be added to either the Upcoming or Recent section? EDIT: oh, sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn't. Either way, I will report it to the dev team.

Should be fixed now.
Re: HDHomeRun UI (20250314) feedback - craigwillie
I just found that, but how do I check/modify those Tasks that aren't currently airing? I click in and only have a wallpaper and Series description. Try to modify your NFL team's settings....NedS wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 12:05 pmSelecting any episode, recorded or upcoming, then press right (or tap/click right arrow next to the summary), then you should see options for changing the series recording. Re: HDHomeRun UI (20250314) feedback - craigwillie
I think that was an issue even with the old UI, but it is on our radar and the plan is to work our way around to the other parts of the UI. So this might be a new "Tasks" screen option, for example.
Re: HDHomeRun UI (20250314) feedback - craigwillie
Right now you need either a recording or an upcoming airing to be able to edit a task. Without either you can delete the task but not edit the task.RWFarley wrote: Tue Apr 08, 2025 5:12 pm I just found that, but how do I check/modify those Tasks that aren't currently airing? This is an upgrade from the old UI where you needed an upcoming airing to be able to edit a task. Without an upcoming airing you could delete the task but not edit the task.
This is something we have a note on and will likely be improved in the future.
