Live tv keeps freezing

Hello,

All of a sudden, my live TV keeps freezing. I have an HDHomeRun Prime, and it works fine on all my other devices except my PC. It used to work fine on this PC as well, but ever since I installed a new GPU (AMD Radeon RX 6400), live TV starts, plays for about 30 seconds to a minute, and then constantly freezes and won’t work properly.

It doesn’t matter if I’m using the HDHomeRun app, VLC, or any other player—the issue persists. So I’m assuming something about the new GPU is causing the problem, also my GPU drivers are up to date.

If anyone has any ideas, I’d really appreciate the help.

Do you have the display refresh rate set at 59/60Hz?

Have you tried an older driver version? The latest is usually the best, except when it's not. It can be worth going back a few months or a year just to see if an older one works better. https://www.amd.com/en/support/download ... -6400.html

Thanks, so far setting the monitor back to 60HZ seems to be working. I have two monitors connected to the GPU one is an Acer 1080P monitor that is 60HZ but can technically be overclocked to 75HZ and I was playing around with that and had it at 75 HZ the other is a 1440P 144HZ LG monitor and it was giving the same issues on both but setting my 1080P monitor back to 60HZ and it now seems to be working fine on both.

Of course now that I say that it was working and then 20 minutes in it started to do the same thing as before. I'll have to try rolling back the drivers and see if that does anything.
