New UI is lacking, and can't play a show as its recording

First off, the new UI is not good....please provide an option as to which UI you can use. Companies always seem to feel a need to update something just to update it. In this case, it was unnecessary.

Anyway, seems functionality has been lost in this update as well. I am no longer able to start watching a show from the beginning as it is recording. It will only let me view the show from the current, live position.

This makes the DVR nearly useless because I use it for timeshifting....start watching a show after it starts so I can skip the commercials. Niow I seem to have to wait until the show is completely over (the Today show is 3 hours long, so I can't watch the first half hour until after its over?)

Is everyone else seeing this as well? Please please put the old UI and functionality back in place.

Press the right button on your remote - the default option in the right menu is to play from the beginning.

If you go to play a recording-in-progress it starts playing from the beginning like it always did.

I tried again and it did start from the beginning. But another problem I just had, it was recording the nightly news and I started watching live 80% into the show. Then when I went to watch it back from the beginning, it only had the first half of the show and it cut off. So it effectively recorded only part of the show. It just seems buggy. I know it wouldn't play from the start before but now it does.
