error invoking client

When I launch the application, the small characters in the lower left corner say error invoking client.
No acces to live or recorded tv. Need help please.

Similar issue here, can't change the "channel".

I am having the same issue with my HDHomerun HDHR3-US. I get the same error and it also says at the bottom firmware upgrade required. I can use the tuner just fine in Jellyfin and Windows Media Center with my Extender. Yes I still use Windows Media Center with an extender and a Windows 7 VM as the server.
